Expertise
Feeling supported and understood when dealing with mental health challenges.

People turn to us for help in times of crisis or struggle. Often, they are navigating unique and deeply personal life situations. They trust us to provide support that is just as special as their circumstances. That's why we don't just offer our patients a standardised programme. Instead, we develop personalised solutions based on thorough diagnoses and the latest scientific research.

We work closely with our patients to explore the symptoms of their disorder and uncover the underlying causes. On the basis of detailed diagnoses, we develop holistic therapies tailored to the patient's individual needs.

Specialisations

The medical, therapeutic and nursing teams at Clienia Privé specialise in treating the following mental health conditions:

Anxiety disorders

Anxiety is a natural human response. But it is considered a disorder if it becomes irrational, excessive, intense or persistent. A distinction is made between situational anxiety (such as fear of flying) and more generalised anxiety (such as social phobia).

Burnout and stress-related crises

Burnout describes a state of mental and physical exhaustion that develops because of chronic, mostly work-related stress. Prolonged stress can lead to secondary conditions such as depression and cardiovascular disease.

Depression / depression fatigue

The different types of depression, along with bipolar disorders, are classified as affective (or mood) disorders. Usually, these conditions are first diagnosed in middle adulthood, around the age of 40 or later.

Obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD)

Obsessive thoughts and rituals, such as repeatedly checking the hob or the front door before leaving the house, are not considered a disorder in themselves. But when these irrational thoughts and behaviours become increasingly frequent and time-consuming, they can cause significant personal distress and disrupt the daily lives of those affected.

Personality disorders

Personality disorders can be seen as extreme manifestations of certain patterns of behaviour characterised by rigid, deep-rooted and maladaptive personality traits. They can impair the individual's quality of life, cause personal distress and lead to frequent conflict with others.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Post-traumatic stress disorder can develop as a result of one or more traumatic events. These can include natural or man-made disasters, accidents or the diagnosis of a life-threatening illness, whether experienced by the individual themselves or someone else.

Psychotic disorders

Psychotic disorders, or psychoses, describe conditions that involve the affected individual temporarily losing touch with reality to varying degrees.

Sleep disorders

Sleep disorders are common and can have a significant impact on wellbeing, mood and the ability to function properly.

Somatoform disorders and pain disorders

Somatoform disorders refer to a range of conditions which can result in pronounced physical symptoms that cause considerable distress for those affected.
